Round Description:

The 220gr total metal jacket round (PP, or plated projectile) is a must for the shooter that wants a quieter round. The 220 is perfect for suppressed shooting while functioning flawlessly in any gas-system. It achieves great accuracy whether you are running suppressed or un-suppressed rifles.

Our 220 grain round features a plated projectile that we have put through extensive testing. We have produced this round for our shooters that need a cost-effective training/plinking round.

The 220 TMJ is loaded with the same precision and pride we take when loading all of our rounds here at Mid-Am.

Occasional Keyholing
I've fired over 250 rounds of the 220gr PP subsonic through a suppressed 8.5 barrel. About 10% of the time I see keyholing on the targets from as close as 20 yards. To rule out gun or ammo I fired a similar number of the Hornady A-Max you have for sale, have not seen a single keyholed shot with that. I plan to shoot up what I have left and switch to the more expensive Hornady A-Max bullets. Definitely sad, I was really hoping to have a cheaper source of subsonic .300 BLK ammo.

Bought 50 rounds of each of the $22.50 and below Ammo here and these were not as accurate as the 150g FMJ nor the 120g frangible Running a 10.5” with pistol length gas system. No suppressor All rounds fired and had no issues with the ammo.
